The first job that an ordinary housewife received as a company came from the United States.

I never thought I would be in a Corona situation 8 months after my blog in 2019, and I never thought it would last this long.
Since then, in May 2021, I finally made it from a sole proprietorship to a corporation.
It was with the support of many people.
I am still grateful to the president of the sales representative company I used to work for and the CEO of a Silicon Valley company in Japan who gave me the push I needed.
I haven’t updated my blog for a while, so I would be happy if I could share some of my experiences in this area.

One year has passed since we became Tasukaru Inc. in May 2021.
We now have more than 10 staff members and more than 10 clients, but it has been a very difficult road for us, more so than we had imagined.
When I first started my own business, I received some business from the president of the company I used to work for.
However, even if an ordinary housewife with a track record of achievement went to various clients with a sales pitch, she would be told, “You are a sole proprietor, so your hourly rate should be about this much,” and it was difficult to get work as a company.
It is natural, isn’t it?
If you work alone, who is going to do it when you are off? I think there were various concerns from the client’s point of view. Some of them even suggested that I should work for free.

When I was thinking about what to do, the president of the company I used to work for recommended me to register on a certain platform. I am very grateful to the president of the company who recommended me because I could not enter this platform without a push to prove my achievements.

Looking back, there were many men who had wonderful careers, such as those who had received awards from major companies and those who had graduated from famous universities, so it was probably not the right place for an ordinary housewife like me who was only interested in achievements to join. However, I had a fate-changing encounter here.
Immediately after I joined the company, I was chosen by a company in Silicon Valley in the United States.
The CEO of the Japan office was a Japanese man in his 20s and quite a bit older than me, but after talking to him for about 30 minutes, he said, “I’ve decided on Oka-san. How about you, Oka-san? I still remember that he said to me, “How about you, Oka-san? He looked at my track record and was interested in me because he thought that producing results was the most important thing for me.
This was the first time I was offered a job as a company.

Since they had chosen me, I was determined to achieve results.

Thanks to this company’s steady income for a year, we were able to turn the company into a joint-stock company two months later, and we were able to hire a lot of people during the one-year period.
I am still very grateful to the CEO. Without that job, I don’t think we would have been able to build the foundation of Tasukaru today.
Many companies were interested in us because we were getting work from Silicon Valley in the United States.
Six months after starting the business, I was able to get work on my own even after quitting the platform.
